Previous studies showed that milk goats can be managed economically through the feeding of agricultural products, by-products and rangeland grazing which otherwise would have been wasted. It was proposed that rangelands should be utilized seasonally, permitted by vegetation growth, and left idle in the dormant season (Galina et al., 1998a). Galina et al. (1998b) evaluated this system in terms of bio- sustainability.
