Training Courses

The Boergoat industry continues to grow and — as in many other agricultural sectors — the demands on producers are intensifying. Profitability is under pressure, parasite resistance is becoming more common, agricultural land is getting more expensive. To remain competitive and maintain sustainable growth, the producer needs knowledge and skill. He needs all the information possible that will make his farming operation succeed over the long term.

An important Boergoat Farming course

To satisfy this demand, Johan Steyn, developer of this boergoats.co.za website and owner of the well-known Patriot Boergoat Stud in South Africa, has developed a 1-day Boergoat Farming course aimed at addressing the needs of farmers.

The management course is presented in plain language and draws on practical experience gained over 20 years of Boergoat farming; experience and knowledge that is shared with farmers looking to enter the Boergoat sector and with existing farmers looking to improve their profitability and sustainability.

Details of the course, including venues, are listed below.

All students receive a copy of the DVD Boergoat Management Procedures included in the course fee and, on completion of the course, you also receive a professionally designed and printed certificate similar to the one illustrated above.

Courses can be presented at other venues for a minimum of 20 students if required.

The course can be offered at other venues in Southern Africa should a minimum of 20 students book per course. Each course starts at 08h30 and finishes at around 16h30.
